Livorno is your port of call for touring Florence, Pisa, Lucca and
Tuscan countryside. Livorno is a gritty
town and not a tourist attraction so you will be heading directly to
your sightseeing destinations.
Florence with its finest monuments is your first choice. A Kodak stop
in Pisa by the Leaning Tower on the way back to Livorno pier will
enrich your day. The drive between Livorno and Florence takes under
two hours with nice views, however delightful landscapes of Tuscany
are further beyond the highway.
If you have been to Florence before head for Tuscany with Siena, San
Gimignano and wine tasting at one of the private wineries. You will
see the most beautiful Italian small towns and impressive landscape.
For those with limited time excursion to Pisa and Lucca is the best
choice. |
